What is the skill base of retirees who may participate in OnCore USA?
OnCore USA is meant for those individuals who have skills and experiences in the science and engineering disciplines (e.g. research, development, engineering, quality, production), and are available to solve problems on a time-bound, short-term basis. Retirees will use their knowledge and expertise to solve well defined scientific and technical problems.

Are members of OnCore USA employees or independent contractors?
When an individual enrolls with OnCore USA, they become part of the company's network and their information is placed in the database. The individual becomes an employee of OnCore USA at the time of their first project assignment.

How does OnCore USA determine who is assigned to an engagement?
A scientific advisor and account manager work with the client company to identify the scope and duration of the engagement, the required skills, and the profile of the desired candidate to deliver the engagement objectives. OnCore USA has developed an internal infrastructure that allows it to search the database to create an initial pool of candidates who are able to meet the project requirements. The scientific advisor and account manager then work with the project leader to determine the best candidate for the project.

What is the pay rate to OnCore USA employees?
Each employee of OnCore USA is paid at a rate that is based on his or her base salary upon retirement. OnCore USA adjusts each salary for inflation and adds a 20% premium to cover bonuses and other related non-salary components of their compensation. With these adjustments and premiums, along with the fact that OnCore USA pays all payroll taxes, worker's compensation insurance, and handles the time consuming tasks of marketing, placement and billing associated with assignments, the retired expert enjoys attractive compensation for their services.

How are OnCore USA employees paid?
Employees of OnCore USA track all hours worked and are paid by OnCore USA on the 15th of the month following the month when services are provided. If required to travel, OnCore USA will reimburse approved travel related expenses.

Will OnCore USA employees receive benefits?
Since for the most part, individuals will work on short-term, time-bound projects, the OnCore USA retired expert is considered a part-time employee. Benefits are available only to full-time employees of OnCore USA.

What about employment and income taxes?
OnCore USA will handle the administration of employment related withholdings (e.g., social security and relevant income tax withholding) in a manner consistent with applicable legal requirements. Tax withholding forms will be completed prior to the commencement of employment with OnCore USA and required tax forms, such as W-2 forms, will be issued.

Who owns intellectual property rights associated with OnCore USA employees' work?
At the time of joining OnCore USA, individuals will be required to sign a standard agreement that assigns all intellectual property that is created in conjunction with an assignment to the client company. Additionally, each expert is required to sign an Engagement Agreement that covers conflict of interest, confidentiality, and intellectual property ownership, protection and assignment.

Are OnCore USA employees free to work for other companies?
OnCore USA employees are generally free to work anywhere after joining the company, unless their previous employer(s) have restrictions in place. One of the benefits of OnCore USA employees is the availability to solve interesting problems at other member companies. However, OnCore USA will only offer work to employees that is consistent with company policies regarding work at competitor companies.

Can employees of OnCore USA work elsewhere at the same time?
Yes. However, OnCore USA employees can only work with member companies through OnCore USA. In other words, member companies will use OnCore USA to meet its needs for these types of short-term technical and scientific problems.
